Silicon Surge Clampers
Silicon surge clampers suppress the peak surge voltage using the avalanche breakdown characteristics of P-N junction. They feature shorter response time compared to gas arrester tubes and excellent voltage clamping characteristics compared to Varistors and Zener diodes. Silicon surge clampers are also used for communications equipment, home electrical appliances and security devices.

High-Voltage Diodes

High-voltage diodes, including customized products, can be manufactured in various shapes and specifications to match a wide variety of applications. Individual high-voltage diodes at 10 kV or less, high-voltage modules at 100 to 300 kV and high-voltage stacks at several MV for use in medical X-ray equipment, electron microscopes, electron/ion beam equipment, high-voltage power testers and accelerators have so far been manufactured and supplied.

Surface Mounted Devices
Schottky barrier diodes, silicon surge clampers and other types of diodes are developed in series. Schottky barrier diodes, in particular, are used in portable equipment, such as personal computers, mobile telephones, MDs and digital cameras, thanks to their low loss and small packages. Small size packages are available for market needs.

Diodes Modules
	Diode modules are small, insulated modules featuring high thermal conductivity, which help downsizing of equipment. At the same time, they are easy to mount and handle. The IGBT snubber module reduces switching noise thanks to built-on low-noise diodes and capacitors optimum for the IGBT snubber circuit.

Custom Modules

Custom modules are also designed and fabricated from Origin. Based upon customers’ specifications, we tailored into one package. The advantages are as follows:

•	Able to built in inverter bridges and chopper circuits
•	Able to fabricate compact package size pursuing efficient arrangement of the devices

These packages eliminate unnecessary wiring works; furthermore, simplify the circuit designs. The applications such as industrial inverters, RF power supplies, medical X-ray equipment can be considered.
